Quality control of biodegradable waste process
Krbalová, Maria ; Fiala, Alois (referee) ; Koška, Petr (advisor)
The waste production and especially biodegradable waste is following mankind since the beginning of his existence. This thesis deals with a description and dividing of current available waste process technologies, including description of their advantages and disadvantages. The work is also focused on the more detailed description of the composting technology, its control and opportunities to influence on resulting parameters of compost product. The information about technical description of workplace equipments, including industrial and technological processes was provided by the company VIA ALTA from their compost plant in Blansko.
Secondary materials from household waste and their position in the global market
Tesař, Jan ; Šomplák, Radovan (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
The barchelor thesis is focused on the issues of material recovery of municipal waste. The work presents the basic concepts of waste management and resource data to help analyze the current virtual situation in the field of waste management. Work specifies the components with the greatest potential for material recovery. For the selected folder, which can be commonly referred to secondary raw materials, work tries to describe the flow of materials and meet with their potential application in the market.
Landfill Sites and Landfill Gas Risks
Klímová, Zdeňka ; Vávrová, Milada (referee) ; Valášek, Rudolf (advisor)
This work is focused on landfills and landfill gas that is created by decomposition of organic substances. Municipal waste, its origin, properties, practical use and risks related to landfill gas are discussed. At the end of the theoretical section the limits of explosiveness are specified. The practical section deals with the most important properties of methane and carbon dioxide. A photograph of a landfill site, located in Brno – Černovice, is included in the final section.
Skládka jako centrum komplexního zpracování komunálního odpadu
Kubišová, Denisa
The bachelor’s thesis „Landfill as a centre of complex municipal waste processing” is focused on description and characteristic of the municipal waste land-filling and the waste management in general. Furthermore, a landfill and its place in circular economy are described. An analysis of waste production in the Czech Republic and its comparison to the other European countries follows. Eventually the thesis deals with the legislation and its latest actualizations. In the next part of the thesis landfill in Němčice nad Hanou is selected a for more precise and detailed description of its management, construction, waste processing, closing and recultivation.
Landfilling as one of the causes of climate change
Knopp, Lubomír ; Balgová, Zuzana (referee) ; Hrabová, Kristýna (advisor)
This thesis deals with municipal waste landfilling. The aim of the thesis was to map the current situation of municipal waste management, to present the European and Czech strategies in the field of waste management and to evaluate the risks associated with landfilling. The thesis examines all the consequences and risks of landfilling. The thesis then looks at the difference objectives and action plans of the European Union and the Czech Republic in the field of waste management. Is it possible to increase the efficiency of separate waste collection to achieve the necessary reduction in calorific value and increase the biological stability of mixed municipal waste?
Novotný, Matěj ; Innemanová, Petra (advisor) ; Matějíček, Luboš (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of processing mixed municipal waste in the Czech Republic and the possibilities of diverting biodegradable waste in such a way as to increase the biological stability of the waste deposited in municipal waste landfills and to fulfill the goals of limiting the landfilling of municipal waste as stipulated by the new waste law. At the same time, it deals with the approaches of neighboring countries, which also address the need to reduce the volume of landfilled municipal waste by 2030 in accordance with the requirements of the European Union. In the practical part, five samples of mixed municipal waste are subsequently analyzed and the possibilities of diverting individual components are discussed here. Key words: waste, biodegradable waste, landfilling, waste composition
Modern alternate types of sealing barriers analysis for landfills
Matoušová, Jana ; Kudrna, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Sedláček, Jaroslav (referee)
People and waste on our planet is constantly increasing, and so despite the unattractiveness topic the landfills are the current and noticeable issue. This paper deals with the standards and laws relating to landfills, from which they depend for the creation and construction. I should present an overview of the different variants of application materials to the construction of the landfill could be used, and today sealing landfills are available for engineers. But just I do not engage in alternative sealing options as well as standard which are still widely used methods of sealing landfills. To the situation in the Czech Republic stated in a global context, I give examples of coping with the landfill in other countries such as Chile, where they try to use local raw materials. What is landfill waste and security are concerned; our model may be one of our neighbours - Germany, which in this part is devoted to most extensively. Each of these options has its pros and cons. I leave at will and view of each reader to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of each solution. It is also possible to adhere to the already proven and well used ways of depositing, in their modernized and improved form.
Assessment of suitability MSW landfilling in the Czech Republic
Kosová, Kristýna ; Benešová, Libuše (advisor) ; Kotoulová, Zdenka (referee)
The paper examines the suitability of municipal waste landfill in the Czech Republic. Landfill is still the most common method of waste disposal. This is mainly due to the number of landfills in the country, the level of charges, poorly built infrastructure capacity and other technical facilities for waste management. The work deals with the actual construction of landfill, through the production, collection and sorting MSW to the political and economic waste management. It also focusing on current issues of legislation and waste management. Part of this work is survey of public opinion and proffesional's views on this issue, which is divided to supporters and opponents. Although the landfill haves still a decreasing trend, the fact remains that there will be always stay some residual waste that can not to be completly remove. So the landfill will always remain as integral part of waste management.
